The main goal of the event was the practical implementation of the memorandum of understanding and strategic cooperation signed between the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Deutscher Reiseverband. The signing of the document took place during the official visit of President Sadyr Japarov to Germany, which occurred from November 25 to 27, 2024.
The organization of the event was carried out jointly by the Department of Tourism and the German Tourism Association, with the support of the Joint Stock Company "Tourism Development Support Fund," the Kyrgyz Association of Tourism Organizations, and the GIZ project "Green Economy."
About 300 representatives of the tourism industry participated in the reception, as well as members of government bodies dealing with tourism issues in Germany.
At the opening of the event, welcoming speeches were made by the president of the German Tourism Association, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Germany Omurbek Tekebaev, the ambassador of Germany to Kyrgyzstan Monika Lenhard, the director of the Department of Tourism Erdenet Kasymov, the general director of the Joint Stock Company "Tourism Development Support Fund in the Kyrgyz Republic" Adilet Januzakov, and the president of the Kyrgyz Association of Tourism Organizations Aisha Mambetalieva.
