At the 26th meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical, and humanitarian cooperation, held in a narrow format, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexey Overchuk reported on the joint efforts of the two countries in the field of epidemiological safety.
He noted that regular examinations of high-altitude plague foci in Kyrgyzstan are an important part of the work, and the services of both countries are actively engaged in preventing threats of infectious disease spread.
“We hope to sign an agreement between the governments on sanitary and epidemiological welfare in the near future,” Overchuk added.
