Recently, the 26th meeting of the intergovernmental commission of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation took place, dedicated to issues of trade-economic, scientific-technical, and humanitarian cooperation.

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the President's Administration, Adylbek Kasymaliev, welcomed the Russian delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk. He noted that this meeting is taking place in a significant year for the relations between the two countries — the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Eternal Friendship, Alliance, and Partnership.

“Thanks to the sincere desire of our leaders, the relations between Kyrgyzstan and Russia continue to strengthen. We see how cooperation is being filled with new substantive aspects and directions. Russia is a reliable ally and strategic partner for Kyrgyzstan. We always emphasize that our peoples are united by centuries-old ties of friendship, spiritual and cultural closeness, good neighborliness, and mutual respect. An important task for us is the timely implementation of all agreements reached as a result of our leaders' meetings,” said Kasymaliev.

For his part, Alexey Overchuk thanked for the warm welcome and emphasized the need for consistent development of bilateral relations. The Russian side confirmed its readiness to continue joint initiatives and support ongoing projects, highlighting the importance of maintaining positive dynamics and collaborative work. The commitment to fulfilling previously reached agreements was also noted.

During the meeting, a wide range of current issues related to bilateral cooperation was discussed.
