Employees of the Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan in Yekaterinburg conducted an inspection at the temporary detention center for foreign nationals, which is managed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the visit, consular staff met with Kyrgyz citizens to discuss compliance with local legislation and explain the migration registration process, as well as the possibility of appealing court decisions. Currently, there are 40 citizens of Kyrgyzstan in the temporary detention center, 15 of whom will be returned to their homeland on the next flight.

In addition, the Consulate has received requests from Kyrgyz citizens who are in the inter-municipal department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs "Asbestovsky." Due to overcrowding at the temporary detention center in Yekaterinburg, eight citizens of Kyrgyzstan were transferred to this department. All of them are also awaiting forced deportation. The consul sent a request to the department's administration asking for permission to meet with fellow countrymen who will also be sent to Kyrgyzstan in the near future.
