The Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented the cooperation program between Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland

As part of the event organized by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a presentation of the Cooperation Program between Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland for the next four years took place. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Meder Abakirov, led the meeting.

During the presentation, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation in Kyrgyzstan, Siroko Messerli, detailed the key aspects of the new program, which includes the implementation of projects in areas such as sustainable economic development, public administration, water resource management, energy, and climate change adaptation.

Additionally, participants discussed proposals from Kyrgyz government agencies regarding priority areas that align with the National Development Program until 2030.

Deputy Minister Meder Abakirov emphasized the importance of Switzerland as one of Kyrgyzstan's main Western partners. He expressed gratitude to the Swiss side for its support and noted that the implemented projects would positively impact the living standards of the country's citizens and strengthen bilateral ties between Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland.

For reference: Since 2013, a cooperation mechanism has been in place between Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland, under which strategies for 2013-2016 and 2017-2021 were implemented, and the cooperation program for 2022-2025 is currently concluding.
