HEALTHCARE

Preventive work and the fight against epidemics. Work in the field of prevention is primarily focused on preventing diseases such as tuberculosis, syphilis, malaria, and other infectious diseases.

There is a tuberculosis dispensary only in Frunze. Additionally, there are 2 sanatoriums in Frunze with 40 beds.

Tuberculosis treatment in the cantons is carried out by local doctors, and patients requiring sanatorium treatment are referred to Frunze.

To combat syphilis, there is a venereal disease dispensary in each canton, whose tasks include not only treatment but also preventive and diagnostic work.

To fight malaria, there is a malaria station in Frunze. The highest prevalence of malaria is observed in the Frunze and Osh cantons. In the cantons, the fight against malaria is conducted by local medical personnel.

Over the past two years, significant work has been done to combat the plague. In Frunze, the construction of a special anti-plague laboratory is nearing completion, whose workers will operate as an anti-plague inspection team during the summer and process materials collected during their work in the team in the winter....
