According to the ministry's press service, the purpose of the event was to develop comprehensive measures and make decisions regarding the construction, reconstruction, and modernization of outdated treatment facilities.
From November to December 2025, an interdepartmental working group conducted inspections of treatment facilities in 32 cities of Kyrgyzstan.
During the inspections, an assessment was made of the technical condition of the facilities, the degree of wear of the equipment, and compliance with environmental standards, as well as aspects of modernization and increasing production capacities were discussed.
The Department of Environmental Monitoring of the Ministry assessed the efficiency of wastewater treatment at municipal wastewater treatment facilities.
