8.2 million seedlings and 67% survival rate: results of the "Zhasyl Muras" program in 2025

At the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Agricultural Policy, Water Resources, Subsoil Use, Ecology, and Environmental Protection, held on March 9, the results of the "Zhasyl Muras" program were presented, according to which the survival rate of seedlings reached 67%.

According to information from the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, approximately 8.2 million seedlings were planted as part of this national initiative. The majority of them consist of coniferous and deciduous trees, aimed at restoring forest areas, improving the ecological situation, and increasing green spaces in the country.

The "Zhasyl Muras" program was launched at the initiative of President Sadyr Japarov with the aim of increasing forest areas and enhancing the resilience of the ecosystem in Kyrgyzstan.
