As part of the Eurasian Economic Union, a protocol has been signed that amends the agreement concerning the unified principles and rules for the circulation of medical devices, including medical equipment and products for medical purposes. This information was provided by the Eurasian Economic Commission.

According to this document, the transitional period for the registration of medical devices under national rules has been extended.

This extension will allow the EAEU countries to optimize the registration process and prepare for the transition to a unified system for the registration of medical devices that complies with the union's regulations.

As reported by the EEC, the protocol will come into effect ten days after its signing and will enter into force after the commission receives the final written notification of the completion of domestic procedures necessary for its implementation by the EAEU member states.
