Kyrgyzstani workers flew to South Korea for work

Workers were employed under the EPS system

The Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration of Kyrgyzstan announced the departure of a new group of workers to the Republic of Korea as part of the intergovernmental program for obtaining work permits (EPS).

On February 3, 16 citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic left for Seoul after completing a specialized training course.

This program, which has been in operation for 18 years, has helped more than 5,000 Kyrgyz citizens find jobs in South Korea's manufacturing industry.

Currently, about 1,500 Kyrgyz workers are employed in the country under this program, working in the production of plastics, chemicals, and food products. The average salary is $1,700, and employers provide support regarding housing. However, the main obstacle to participating in the program remains the need to have a sufficient level of proficiency in the Korean language.
