In Kyrgyzstan, price limits for meat have been established

In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, issued on January 30, 2026, under number 3, temporary state price regulation for beef and lamb (excluding boneless meat) has been introduced in the republic. Maximum prices have been set for each region and city, which were approved by the territorial departments of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service.

According to the new tariffs, prices are distributed as follows:

Bishkek and Osh: In the capital, the maximum price for beef is set at 720 soms, while for lamb it is 710 soms. In Osh, the price for beef will also be at 720 soms, while lamb may reach 730 soms.

Chui Region: Here, the highest maximum prices are established — 740 soms for beef and 750 soms for lamb.

Regional centers and areas:

In the Jalal-Abad region, beef prices range from 630 to 700 soms, while lamb prices can go up to 720 soms.

In the Issyk-Kul region, beef will cost from 700 to 740 soms, while lamb will be within 660–690 soms.

In the Batken region, a uniform price of 700 soms for both types of meat has been set for most districts.

In the Talas region, the maximum price is fixed at 685 soms for beef and 695 soms for lamb.

In the Naryn region, the cost of beef will range from 620 to 680 soms, while lamb will range from 640 to 680 soms.

This measure is aimed at ensuring the availability of essential food products and preventing unjustified price increases for meat products. The antimonopoly authority will regularly conduct checks to ensure compliance with the established price limits at retail outlets.
