The Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan is successfully completing key stages in the creation of a unified digital space with EAEU partners. According to the information from the ministry's press service, 15 main processes have been covered so far, distributed across four strategic areas, including veterinary control and seed production.
As of today, 80% of the planned systems have not only been developed but are also actively functioning. The veterinary block has proven to be the most high-tech, with the implementation of 8 processes that have fully automated the issuance of documents, maintenance of registers, and monitoring of products. This creates a transparent system for tracing agricultural goods, significantly simplifying export procedures by eliminating unnecessary barriers.
In the phytosanitary sector, three processes have already been launched. Now, data on quarantine objects, phytosanitary certificates, and temporary restrictions are exchanged in electronic format instantly. This innovation helps the member countries of the union to respond quickly to potential risks, preventing delays in cargo at borders without justified reasons.
As for seed production, work is currently underway on the final stage — integration into a unified register of agricultural plant varieties.
The results of this large-scale digitalization are becoming evident: a secure common space is being formed among the countries of the union. The implementation of such initiatives has already increased the transparency of trade processes, making the export of products from Kyrgyzstan clearer and protected from excessive bureaucratic delays on the international stage.
