At a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Competition Development, Deputy Minister of Finance Nurbek Akzholov reported that the plan includes the allocation of $1 billion 26 million 760 thousand. Of this amount, $32.7 million consists of grants, while $994 million are concessional loans.
The loan will be issued for a term of 25 years, including a grace period of 5 years, at an interest rate of 1.5% per annum.
According to the deputy minister, the funds will be distributed as follows:
- $450 million — for supporting the economy, particularly the private sector;
- $362.7 million — for energy development, including the major project of the Kambarata HPP-1;
- $180.2 million — for providing irrigation and drinking water;
- $61 million — for the development of digital technologies.
Akzholov noted that the economy of Kyrgyzstan is demonstrating stable growth, and international financial institutions express confidence in the country. He added that a decrease in the volume of grants and a reduction in the terms for which loans will be issued is expected in the future.
