The Cabinet of Ministers has banned the export of mineral fertilizers from Kyrgyzstan

The restriction is aimed at regulating the domestic market and ensuring agricultural producers

The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to impose a temporary ban on the export of mineral fertilizers outside the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This became known from a statement by the government apparatus.

This ban will be in effect for six months, according to resolution No. 11, dated February 18, 2026.

Exceptions are made for customs transit and humanitarian aid provided by the government. Furthermore, the restrictions do not apply to fertilizers that were imported from third countries if they do not meet the established quality standards based on inspection results.

As explained by the government, "the temporary ban is intended to ensure a stable supply of fertilizers to agricultural producers in anticipation of the active agricultural season."
