She reminded that in March 2025, a state program for the comprehensive socio-economic development of regions was adopted, which is designed for 20 years with mandatory updates every five years.
The main objective of this program is to reduce interregional disparities, create sustainable and active economic regions, and improve the standard of living for the population.
The program covers not only infrastructure issues but also includes the creation of new jobs, support for entrepreneurship, and strengthening the capacity of local self-government bodies. Within the framework of the program, each district and region will have its own specialization defined.
For the year 2026, the following is planned:
- construction of a sanitary landfill in the city of Osh,
- creation of three Rest Points,
- construction of a brick factory in the Osh region,
- fertilizer production plant in the Nookat district.
Also planned are:
- organization of trade and service cooperatives,
- creation of trade and logistics centers,
- development of a sturgeon cluster in the Toktogul district of the Jalal-Abad region and other facilities.
In addition, projects aimed at improving road infrastructure and constructing entry groups in populated areas will be implemented.
Furthermore, a state program aimed at the development of border, high-altitude, and hard-to-reach areas until 2030 is also planned, as well as a program to support sustainable domestic tourism and financing for youth entrepreneurship.
