On the morning of March 2, the price of Brent crude oil on the London ICE exchange reached over $81 per barrel, marking the first time since June 23, 2025. This data was confirmed by trading indicators.

The price increase was 12.2 percent at the beginning of the week, attributed to the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.

At the same time, October contracts for WTI crude oil rose by 2.3 percent, reaching $76.7 per barrel.

Previously, experts had predicted a significant rise in oil prices, primarily due to the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. However, Iranian authorities recently stated that they do not intend to close this important maritime corridor.
