In Kyrgyzstan, work on the development of the processing industry is actively ongoing, which is confirmed by stable growth in this sector. According to information from the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Processing Industry, in 2026, the share of enterprises engaged in the production of food products, beverages, and tobacco products accounted for 18.8% of the total output of the processing industry.

In January 2026, enterprises operating in the field of agricultural processing produced goods worth 8 billion 91.6 million soms at current prices. The physical volume index was recorded at 113.6%, indicating a positive trend in the development of this industry.

To further stimulate the processing industry, the ministry has developed a plan for 2026, which includes the opening of 75 new processing enterprises and trade-logistics centers.
Currently, three processing enterprises and one trade-logistics center are already operational:
— In the village of Jan-Bulak in the Naryn region, individual entrepreneur Kubatbek Amanturov launched a workshop for the production of flour semi-finished products;
— In the village of Emgek-Talaa in the same region, individual entrepreneur Aizhamal Musabekova opened a dairy processing enterprise with a capacity of up to 4 tons per month;
— In the Ton district of the Issyk-Kul region, JSC "Erdik" has established the production of animal feed.
Additionally, a new trade-logistics center was registered in the city of Manas:
— LLC "Golden Nut" — the capacity of the center is 500 tons, and it is intended for shock freezing and storage of fruits and berries.
The work on creating new processing enterprises and developing logistics infrastructure in the regions of the country will continue according to the planned schedule for the current year.
