The amount spent by the authorities on servicing the national debt since the beginning of the year has been announced.

In the first two months of 2026, Kyrgyzstan fulfilled its state debt obligations amounting to 11 billion 142.6 million soms, which is equivalent to approximately $126.9 million. This data was provided by the Ministry of Finance.

Of the total amount, 4 billion 521.9 million soms ($51.5 million) was allocated for the repayment of external debt, while internal obligations amounted to 6 billion 620.7 million soms ($75.4 million).

For comparison, in 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance report, Kyrgyzstan spent 45 billion 967.7 million soms ($525.3 million) on payments for external debt and 31 billion 170.4 million soms ($356.2 million) on internal debt.
