In Bishkek, agreements were signed for the restoration of forests over an area of 2500 hectares
An important event took place in Bishkek — grant agreements were signed regarding the large-scale restoration of forests as part of a regional project called "ADAPT." The ceremony was attended by Muratbek Duyyshev, Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, as well as Tynchtykbek Sadyrov, Deputy Director of the Forest Service under the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The main goal of this project is the sustainable management of natural resources and the restoration of degraded lands in the republic.

The project will cover restoration work over an area of 2500 hectares across the country. It is planned not only to plant new forests but also to create conditions for the natural restoration of ecosystems. These measures are expected to significantly improve the ecological situation in the regions and contribute to the enhancement of the living standards of local residents, whose well-being depends on the condition of forests and pastures.

The signed agreements fully align with the national program "Zhasyl Muras," initiated by President Sadyr Japarov. Within the framework of this global initiative, green zones are actively being developed in Kyrgyzstan, and modern methods for biodiversity conservation are being implemented. The "ADAPT" project will be an important step towards ensuring the long-term ecological sustainability of the country.

The program also aims to address social and economic issues in rural areas. Effective management of natural resources will help prevent further land degradation and will serve as a foundation for the sustainable development of the regions. Experts from relevant agencies noted that the implementation of these grant mechanisms is a key step towards adapting agriculture to climate change.
