In Kyrgyzstan, there is now an opportunity for citizens, as well as foreigners and stateless persons, to officially "purchase" work experience that was not accumulated in the past. This new initiative aims to increase future pension payments and support those who had gaps in their official employment. This information was provided by the state institution "Salyk Service".
According to the new mechanism, citizens can pay insurance contributions for any missed periods starting from 1996. This service is available to those who were unemployed during certain years, worked unofficially, or for other reasons did not make social contributions. Employers also have the option to pay for the work experience of their employees.
The cost of restoring work experience depends on the economic situation in the region: the contribution amount is 8% of the average monthly salary established in the specific area at the time of payment.
The entire application process has been digitized. To restore work experience, the user needs to:
Log in to their personal account on the website cabinet.salyk.kg; Go to the "E-patent" section, then to the "Policy" item; Select the "Work Experience Restoration Rate" option; Specify the necessary time frames and make the payment.
It is possible to check for "empty" periods in the work history through the personal account on the state portal "Tunduk" or by contacting the Social Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic. According to the authorities, this innovation provides citizens with a flexible tool for shaping their pension future and reduces the risks of receiving low payments upon retirement.
