Banks and payment system operators will be held responsible if they refuse to carry out the deduction of funds.
In Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce has initiated a proposal to implement automatic deductions of tax debts from citizens' bank accounts. The draft of the corresponding resolution has already been sent for public discussion.
The automatic deduction applies only to those debts that are recognized: this means that they are not disputed or confirmed by a court decision. After notification from the State Tax Service (GNS), a requirement for banks and electronic money operators to settle the debt will be automatically initiated within 30 calendar days. In case of refusal to comply with this requirement, they will also bear responsibility.
Previously, such a practice was applied only to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.
