In the Issyk-Ata district, the construction of the reservoir 'Tuz' is nearing completion.
In the Issyk-Ata district of the Chui region, a press tour was held, organized by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic. During the event, journalists were provided with information about the state of the irrigation system and the progress of spring fieldwork. According to Bek Jekshybaev, head of the district agricultural development department, most of the 60,000 hectares of arable land in the region is irrigated. Currently, more than 10,000 hectares are planted with grain crops, and sowing of corn, sugar beets, and vegetables is actively underway. Farmers are fully supplied with the necessary seeds, fertilizers, and fuel and lubricants.

As part of the press tour, special attention was paid to water management facilities. Ulanbek Uruстomov, the chief engineer of the district water management department, spoke about the "Ivanovka" reservoir, the repair of which began in 2024. This facility was completely reconstructed and put into operation in 2025. Currently, the reservoir with a capacity of 1.2 million cubic meters is actively being filled with water in anticipation of the irrigation season.

The press tour program also included a visit to the under-construction Decadal Regulation Pool (DRP) "Tuz." Myzama Azhieva, the project curator, reported that the completion of construction work is planned by the end of this year. The new facility will be able to accumulate more than 1.8 million cubic meters of water, which will ensure stable irrigation of about 2,400 hectares of agricultural land in the district.
