The nurseries will focus on producing large trees that can withstand urban environmental conditions, as well as shrubs and perennials that are drought-resistant and able to cope with sharp temperature fluctuations. These green plantings will be used for the greening of new public spaces, parks, and streets in the city.
According to city authorities, the work on creating the nursery system is nearing completion, with the launch scheduled for spring 2026.
The goal of the project is to provide Tashkent with its own sustainable planting material, which will reduce dependence on imported plants and enhance the city's ecological sustainability.
