In recent days, WHO experts have collaborated with local healthcare workers to better understand how immunization is being carried out. They conducted surveys in primary healthcare facilities in various regions, including Bishkek and Osh, where they interviewed general practitioners, nurses, and vaccination specialists.

The WHO team also explored how healthcare workers communicate with parents, especially those who have doubts about vaccination. As part of the mission, the needs for additional training and tools for more effective interaction with the population were analyzed. Experts also assessed the availability of vaccines and supplies, as well as instances of supply disruptions and the documentation of contraindications.
In addition to this, WHO specialists studied recent outbreaks of measles, where incomplete vaccination was identified as one of the risk factors. The collected data will help local authorities improve health policy, enhance the quality of medical services, and develop targeted measures to increase vaccination coverage among the population.

The results of the mission will be compiled into a detailed report with practical recommendations for the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan, development partners, and medical institutions. This will serve as a basis for further efforts to improve routine vaccination coverage and protect the population from vaccine-preventable infectious diseases.
