Serious violations have been identified in the process of government procurement carried out by employees of one of the departments of the Bishkek city administration in Kyrgyzstan. This concerns the purchase of lighting poles intended for the improvement of the Ch.Aitmatov park. This was reported by the State National Security Committee (GKNB) of Kyrgyzstan.
During the investigation initiated due to the possible crime stipulated by Article 339 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (Concluding a knowingly disadvantageous contract), investigative actions were carried out on December 5, 2025. As a result, it was established that officials of the municipal enterprise "Bishkeksvet" concluded a contract with a contractor on knowingly disadvantageous terms, which led to the embezzlement of significant funds. Charges have been brought against the director of "Bishkeksvet" T.E.T., chief engineer I.E.I., and the director of the company "T.S." N.R.A. All the accused have been detained and placed in the GKNB KR detention center.
The State National Security Committee continues its work to identify similar violations in the field of government procurement.
