The parties have reached an agreement on the necessity to accelerate the schedules for the preparation, commissioning, and execution of construction and installation works for the above-mentioned projects.
Key outcomes of the meetings:
Uch-Kurgan HPP (GA-1 and GA-2):
- Delivery of 80% of equipment for GA-2 is scheduled by February 1, 2026;
- By June 1, 2026, 80% of equipment for GA-1 will be delivered;
- Project teams are staffed with highly qualified specialists;
- Works on GA-2 should be completed by October 1, 2026, and on GA-1 by November 1, 2026.
Kambarata HPP-2 (commissioning of the second hydro unit):
- A decision to accelerate design works has been made;
- Tests of the turbine model are scheduled for January 2026;
- Timelines for preparation, delivery, installation, and commissioning works for lots 1 and 2 have been shortened;
- Construction and land works (l-3) have also been accelerated, and additional negotiations have been confirmed;
- Factory equipment inspection is scheduled for April 2026.
Additionally, during the visit, the delegation inspected the production facilities of the ADB plant, where equipment for GA-1 and GA-2 of the Uch-Kurgan HPP is manufactured. The inspection confirmed that production schedules are being adhered to.
