The owner of the helicopter from Kyrgyzstan requested assistance from the Russian embassy in Tunisia

According to information posted on the Telegram channel of the Russian embassy in Tunisia, the Kyrgyz company that owns the MI-26T helicopter has requested assistance in resolving the issue with the crew, which consists of seven Russian citizens and two Belarusian citizens. These specialists have been in the transit zone of the airport on the island of Djerba since December 19, where the helicopter made a technical stop.

In response to this request, the Russian Embassy sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tunisia to clarify the legal status of the crew members and assist in their situation. The consular department of the embassy maintains constant contact with the helicopter's commander for prompt response to changes.

As representatives of the Tunisian foreign ministry explained, the delay in the crew's departure was caused by the lack of permission for further flight. Nevertheless, the country's authorities did not hinder the helicopter's departure.

According to the agreement reached, the crew will be able to leave Tunisia in the coming days.
