The new head appointed is Bolot Junusov, who, as the minister noted, has the necessary experience and has no obligations to pharmaceutical companies. "The main requirement is the absence of ties with suppliers. I hope he can establish a transparent and effective procurement system," added Dosmambetov.
The minister also cited a specific case illustrating corrupt practices: in December 2025, a contract was signed for the supply of medications worth 123 million soms. The cost of one package was 2,900 soms, while the offers from foreign companies were almost half that — 1,490 soms. Bids from more favorable suppliers were rejected, and the winning company received nearly the maximum score.
"This is a clear markup, and in my opinion, there is clearly corruption involved here. We returned the medications and purchased them directly from the company at the original price," the minister noted.
The state enterprise "Kyrgyzpharmacy" was established in 2023. During its existence, the position of director has been held by: Gulmira Shakirova (April 2023 — January 2024), Suyunbay Aliev (February 2024 — January 2025), and Talant Sultanov (March 2025 — January 2026).
