In Uzbekistan, electric charging stations and their components will be exempt from customs duties.
In accordance with the presidential decree aimed at supporting the economy and meeting the population's needs for certain goods, in 2026-2027, imported charging stations for electric vehicles, as well as their components and equipment for service infrastructure, will also be exempt from duties.
Additionally, for two years, there will be no duties on spare parts for weaving and spinning machines used in sericulture. The tax exemption also applies to mulberry seeds and seedlings, as well as various types of silk, including industrial, elite, and super-elite.
Furthermore, tax benefits will be introduced in the waste management sector. Until January 1, 2031, enterprises engaged in sanitation and recycling, as well as the Waste Management Directorate, will be able to pay profit tax and social tax at a simplified rate of 1%.
To qualify for these benefits, the companies' income from the collection, removal, sorting, or processing of waste must constitute at least 90% of the total income for the reporting period. It is also necessary for the monthly salary of all employees to be at least 2 minimum wage levels (2.542 million sums).
It was previously reported that Uzbekistan plans to implement preferential auto loans for the purchase of electric vehicles, and state support for charging stations is also expected.
