According to Reuters, U.S. authorities are warning of possible attacks from extremists and criminal groups, as well as risks of assaults on transportation networks and civil unrest in connection with the upcoming tournament, which will take place in June and July in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

American law enforcement agencies are on heightened alert amid the conflict with Iran, and local authorities are expressing concerns about the strain on security systems.

The delay in allocating funds for the tournament's preparation is also adding to the problems. The $625 million that was supposed to be distributed by the end of January was only announced on March 18, raising serious concerns among experts. FEMA has finally allocated these funds; however, there is very little time left for preparation.

Ensuring security requires several months for equipment procurement and the implementation of necessary measures. Intelligence reports also mention threats to rail transport and an increase in extremist activities.

Additional concerns arise from potential protests and spontaneous actions related to the tightening of immigration policies by the Trump administration. In this regard, in New Jersey, where the final is scheduled to take place, authorities have decided to cancel a large fan festival, replacing it with several smaller events.

Senators in the U.S. Congress emphasize the need to provide regions with all necessary resources for ensuring the championship's security as soon as possible.
