The 16th round table between Mongolia and Great Britain took place

The 16th Mongolian-British round table was held in Ulaanbaatar on March 23.

The meeting, chaired by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Amartuvshin Gombosuren and the UK Minister of State for the Indo-Pacific Sima Malhotra, included representatives from several ministries.


During the meeting, the parties noted that relations between Mongolia and Great Britain are actively developing and emphasized the need to maintain regular political dialogue. They also discussed the desire to elevate the level of cooperation to a comprehensive partnership and fully utilize the potential in trade and investment, particularly in the areas of culture, education, and interpersonal exchanges.


Issues related to climate change, the transition to new energy sources, and other pressing problems of international concern were also discussed. The parties expressed their readiness to work together for the successful organization of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (COP17), which will be held in Mongolia in August.


"The parties confirmed their commitment to organizing political dialogue between Mongolia and Great Britain and exchanged views on a number of regional and international relations issues," reports MiddleAsianNews.
