He stated, "A whole civilization could perish tonight, and its restoration would become impossible. I do not wish for this, but it is likely to happen."
Additionally, Trump added that in the event of a "complete and total regime change" in Iran, there is a chance for the emergence of "less radical and more intelligent forces," which could lead to positive changes in the country.
He also emphasized that current events could become landmark moments in human history and expressed hope for the end of "47 years of extortion, corruption, and death."
