In the residential area "Ak-Ordo" in Bishkek, an incident occurred involving police officers who, while under the influence of alcohol, became responsible for a traffic accident. This was reported in an official statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the information, the incident occurred when the police officers, driving a Nissan vehicle, scratched a parked car and fled the scene. Eyewitnesses claim that they were intoxicated.
“Based on this incident, an internal investigation was initiated. It was established that at the time of the accident, the officers were under the influence of alcohol, which is a serious violation of both service discipline and legislation. As a result, a decision was made to dismiss police captains S. u. K. and M. U.,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
The department noted that strict measures of accountability are applied to its employees who violate discipline and the law, up to and including dismissal, regardless of their position and length of service.
