According to Timchenko, significant damage has been caused to energy infrastructure facilities, including power plants and gas supply systems. As a result of the attacks, DTEK has lost 60-70% of its generating capacity, with damages estimated in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
He noted that the most severe destruction is observed in Kyiv and the central regions of the country.
Currently, residents have access to electricity for only 3-4 hours a day, while for the rest of the time, they remain without light for 10 to 15 hours. In some homes, there has been no heating for several weeks, he reported.
The situation is exacerbated by the cold: temperatures in Ukraine have ranged from -15 to -20 degrees over the past two weeks.
