According to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service, a report was made to the police by a citizen, J.Z., who informed them about the actions of unknown individuals who identified themselves as "Hamza" and "Ali." They threatened him with violence if he did not pay the amount of 7 million soms, referring to non-existent debts of his deceased son.
In connection with this incident, the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case under Article 208 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (extortion).
During the investigation, a third participant in the criminal group was detained — organizer J.A., born in 1986. A search was conducted in her apartment.
It was revealed that J.A. had a long-standing acquaintance with the victim and was aware of his property and family situation. Taking advantage of the tragic death of the victim's son, she organized the extortion.
Additionally, during the investigation, a vehicle used by the detainees was seized. It has been placed in a towing lot.
The suspects have been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Police Department.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to clarify all circumstances of the case, and a check is being conducted to determine the possible involvement of the detainees in other similar crimes.
