The investigation has established that the directors of driving schools illegally charged citizens outside of Kyrgyzstan amounts ranging from 40,000 to 120,000 soms. Without their physical presence, fake documents were issued confirming the completion of training under the driver training program.
After receiving the money, they registered citizens on the official portal and issued certificates of course completion, without conducting any theoretical training on traffic rules or practical driving lessons. This allowed them to take exams for obtaining driver's licenses.
According to the police, through one of the intermediaries, 244 people were enrolled in the driving schools, from whom a total of 2,760,850 soms was illegally obtained.
The fact of the crime was recorded under Article 379 "Document Forgery" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. As a result, B.T., the director of the driving school "J.A.", M.A. from the driving school "J.J.A.", and the intermediary I.T. were detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
During the search, 200 registration journals for trainees, 160 certificates of course completion, 264 other documents, 8 electronic data storage devices, and a hunting rifle with 40 cartridges were seized. All these items have been recognized as physical evidence in the criminal case.
A scheme for producing fake vehicle registration certificates and transit license plates imported from various foreign countries was also discovered.
