Recall that in January 2021, Anarkulov held the position of head of the information policy department of the president's office of Kyrgyzstan when he was detained by the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) on suspicion of extorting a large bribe. The investigation claimed that he, taking advantage of his official position, demanded money from a person vying for an important government position in exchange for assistance in the appointment. As a result, he was dismissed from his position, and later he was released and suspended from work. However, the fate of the criminal case remains unknown to this day.
