In Bishkek, police officers arrested two suspects in a jewelry fraud case amounting to 36 million soms. This information was provided by the press service of the Sverdlovsk District Department of Internal Affairs.
It became known that on December 13, 2025, a woman named T.A. reported to law enforcement that two individuals, whom she barely knew, introduced themselves as "Ch." and "N.", and received jewelry from her for sale in one of the shopping centers between November 18 and December 2. However, after that, the items were resold to a pawn shop at a significantly undervalued price, and the money earned from the sale was never returned to her.
In connection with these circumstances, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of operational activities, the suspects were detained: Sh.Ch., born in 1985, and S.N., born in 1988. Both women have been placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation into this case is ongoing.
