An employee of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health (NCMCH) in Bishkek has been detained by law enforcement authorities on suspicion of negligence that led to serious consequences for a patient. This information was provided by the Main Department of Internal Affairs (MDIA).
On August 28, 2025, a statement was received by the police from citizen Z.S., in which she reported a possible medical error committed at this medical institution.
According to the case materials, in October 2024, nephrologist N.B. made treatment errors while providing medical services to the minor K.A., born in 2011, which resulted in the amputation of her right leg.
Based on the presented facts, a criminal case has been initiated under part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning improper performance of professional duties by a medical worker, which resulted in serious harm through negligence.
In connection with the conclusions of forensic medical examinations, charges have been brought against the suspect. In accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, she has been detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the MDIA of Bishkek.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
