On Petrozavodskaya Street in St. Petersburg, an incident occurred that nearly led to tragic consequences. A six-year-old boy fell from the window of an apartment located on the seventh floor. According to information from RIA Novosti, his life was saved by a janitor who witnessed the event.
The rescuer turned out to be Khayrullo, a migrant from Uzbekistan. He reacted to the screams of a neighbor who noticed the child standing in the open window of the apartment across the way. The man quickly ran to the scene and managed to catch the falling boy, cushioning the impact with his own body and pressing him to himself to reduce the force of the fall.
After the boy was saved, Khayrullo carried him to the concierge, where he handed the injured child over to the arriving medics. Doctors diagnosed the child with injuries of varying severity and urgently hospitalized him.
According to preliminary data, at the time of the incident, the boy's mother was in another room. The windows of the apartment did not have safety locks installed, which was the cause of the incident.
The St. Petersburg prosecutor's office is currently conducting an investigation to clarify all the circumstances of the incident and assess compliance with legislation on preventing neglect and offenses among minors.
