In the Nooken district of the Jalal-Abad region, in the city of Kochkor-Ata, there has been public outcry due to a conflict within a family, where prolonged violence against a 14-year-old girl has come to light.
According to information provided by 24.kg, the girl's stepfather had subjected her to physical abuse and humiliation for an extended period. The girl is currently in an extremely severe psychological state, having almost stopped communicating and beginning to cry at attempts to talk.
Relatives say that the girl's mother sought help from her brother, who took her and his niece to his home. Shortly after this, the stepfather came to his son-in-law's house, where a conflict occurred.
Relatives claim that the woman's brother sustained a stab wound to the chest, was beaten on the head, and lost part of his ear.
On the way to the hospital, he lost consciousness several times due to significant blood loss and was urgently placed in intensive care. Doctors assess his condition as critical.
However, family members assert that the forensic examination classified the injuries as moderate. They also noted that the medical report did not mention the loss of part of the ear.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on February 14, 2026, at 1:15 AM, a local resident born in 1994 was admitted to the Kochkor-Ata city hospital with bodily injuries. Information about the incident was registered in the Unified Register of Crimes, and an investigation has been initiated.
A forensic investigative group arrived at the scene, conducted an inspection, created a sketch, took photographs, and found a knife.
The investigation established that on February 13, around 11:40 PM, the man came to his son-in-law's house, who was born in 1992. As a result, a conflict occurred during which the son-in-law inflicted stab wounds.
A criminal case has been initiated against the suspect under Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. He was detained in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the court has chosen a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest.
Relatives of the victim believe that the measure of restraint is too lenient, as they claim the man walks freely on the street despite being under house arrest.
The family is also facing difficulties in trying to temporarily transfer the girl to her grandmother, as local government authorities insist on returning the child to her mother, who continues to live with the suspect.
Relatives intend to seek a repeat forensic examination outside the district, as well as an investigation into the objectivity of the inquiry. They demand that the measure of restraint be changed to detention and that the child be temporarily placed under her grandmother's care during the investigative actions.
