On February 26, the press service of the Drug Control Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that during a special operation conducted in January 2026, 8 kilograms of methamphetamine were seized. This batch of drugs is valued at over 53 million soms and contains more than 50,000 doses.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the illegal production of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances for the purpose of their sale.
Currently, efforts are ongoing within the investigation to identify other participants in the criminal scheme.
