In January, 130 children became victims of crimes in Kyrgyzstan

According to data provided by the National Statistical Committee and the General Prosecutor's Office, minors in Kyrgyzstan committed 44 crimes in January 2026.

Among these offenses, the largest number were thefts, which accounted for 38.6% of the total number of crimes committed by children. Cases of causing less serious harm to health (13.6%), extortion (11.4%), and robberies (9.1%) were also recorded. As a result of criminal activity, 130 children became victims of various acts. Most often, they suffered from thefts — 20% of the total number of victims, as well as from sexual offenses (16.9%), robberies (7.7%), and hooliganism (6.2%).

Unfortunately, as a result of these crimes, 7 children lost their lives, and 37 sustained bodily injuries. The majority of offenses against minors were recorded in Bishkek (26.2%), Issyk-Kul region (15.4%), Jalal-Abad region (14.6%), and the city of Osh (12.3%).
