Valery Stepanov, whose family suffered from a traffic accident on October 27, 2021, reported that his son was attempted to be accused of the incident.
According to Stepanov, the case was handled by a former investigator who created an unrealistic scheme of the accident. The man repeatedly requested a change of investigator.
“According to our information, physical evidence was destroyed or lost,” noted V. Stepanov.
He also added that when the case was transferred to the police department of the Issyk-Ata district, evidence was collected indicating the guilt of another person. Stepanov called for an investigation into the legality of the actions of the former investigator and a review of all case materials in light of the identified violations, as well as for fair punishment for the true culprit of the incident.
The applicant reported that her son was sentenced to 13 years in prison. Kultekova appealed to the president, urging the detention of the former investigator.
