The incident occurred on October 27, 2025, when a resident of Shopokov named D.T., born in 1990, reported to the Sokuluk District Police Department. In his statement, he mentioned that on May 15 of the previous year, a certain T.R., having gained his trust, offered to exchange his KIA Morning for a KIA K7. The fraudster also received $2,500 from him.
After the transaction, T.R. registered the KIA K7 with the leasing company "Unaa Leasing," and then took the car back, evading the terms of the contract and the return of the money.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 209 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On March 13, 2026, as a result of operational activities, the police detained T.R., born in 1991. He has been placed in a temporary detention facility under Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Currently, checks are being conducted to determine the detainee's involvement in other similar crimes. The investigation is ongoing.
