The incident occurred on October 27, 2025, when a resident of the city of Shopokov contacted the police. According to him, on May 15, he exchanged his "KIA Morning" for a "KIA K7," paying an additional $2500. However, later, after registering the vehicle with the leasing company "Unaa Leasing," it was seized, and the money was not returned. In addition, the terms of the contract remained unfulfilled.
A case was initiated under Article 209 ("Fraud") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of operational activities, police officers detained the suspect, whose identity has been established as T.R., born in 1991. He is currently in a temporary detention facility.
Investigative actions are ongoing, and law enforcement agencies are determining whether the detainee may be involved in other crimes.
