The law enforcement agencies have detained a man suspected of fraud related to a car exchange. This was reported by the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chuy Region.
It is reported that on October 27, 2025, a resident of the city of Shopokov, D.T., born in 1990, approached the police. He stated that on May 15, 2025, his acquaintance, having gained his trust, offered to exchange his KIA Morning for a KIA K7 model, while also receiving 2500 dollars from him.
After the transaction was completed, the suspect registered the KIA K7 with the leasing company "Unaa Leasing" and then took the car. However, he did not return the funds, failed to fulfill the obligations under the contract, and stopped communicating.
In connection with this situation, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 209 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During operational activities on March 13, 2026, T.R., born in 1991, was detained. The man has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
Currently, an investigation is underway to determine the detainee's involvement in other similar crimes. The investigation continues.
