In the Chui region, law enforcement authorities have detained a man suspected of committing fraud amounting to $27,000.
According to information provided by the police, in January 2026, a citizen approached the internal affairs department of the Alamudun district. He reported that an acquaintance, taking advantage of his trust under the pretext of providing legal assistance, swindled money from him and then ceased all communication.
The applicant sought help regarding issues related to obtaining a land plot of 82 hectares in the Uzun-Kyr ayil okmotu of the Issyk-Ata district, as well as in processing documents for 200 hectares of land in the forestry.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. As a result of operational activities, the suspect was identified as S.K., born in 1983. He was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
