According to information from law enforcement agencies, on March 14 at around 1:00 PM, a local resident named M.T. reported to the First May District Internal Affairs Department. He stated that unknown individuals had stolen a Samsung A17 mobile phone and 200,000 soms from his unlocked Honda Accord, after which they fled in a Hyundai Sonata.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 205 (theft) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During operational activities, officers of the criminal investigation department detained the suspects, among whom were previously convicted individuals B.K. (born in 2000), N.R. (1996), and E.A. (1991). All of them had already been registered with the police as pickpockets and were placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek Main Internal Affairs Department in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
A citizen identified as N.S. was also established, who worked in one of the shopping centers and was engaged in the purchase of stolen mobile phones. Nine mobile devices of various brands, which were preliminarily determined to be stolen, were seized from him.
According to the police, the criminals moved around the city in a rented car, stalking victims and committing thefts from unlocked vehicles.
It has been established that they may be involved in at least ten similar crimes. Operational activities are ongoing.
The Main Internal Affairs Department urges citizens to be more vigilant, not to leave their cars unlocked, and not to leave valuable items unattended. In case of a crime, they are asked to contact number 102.
