The incident occurred on March 14 in the residential area of Kolmo. At noon, a man parked his van near a store, leaving it unlocked. While he was inside, the criminals stole his mobile phone and 200,000 soms, after which they fled in a Hyundai Sonata.
This case was registered under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic ("Theft").
Employees of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek quickly detained the suspects. They turned out to be B.K. (born in 2000), N.R. (born in 1996), and E.A. (born in 1991), who had previous convictions and were registered as pickpockets. All of them were placed in a temporary detention facility.
According to the investigation, the detainees rented a car and drove around the city looking for unlocked vehicles. It has been established that they may be involved in more than 10 similar crimes.
In addition, the police discovered a local resident who was buying and reselling stolen mobile phones in one of the shopping centers. He had 9 mobile phones seized, which were presumably obtained through criminal means.
